Every year as the Pesach Seder looms large on the horizon, the Jewish community goes all out with cleaning, shopping and preparing for the holiday and the Seders. To that end, Nachum hosts representatives of the JBI Library to highlight their campaign to get free large print Haggadahs to the visually impaired in time for Pesach. Nachum welcomed Israel Taub & Arlene Arfe to this morning’s JM in the AM to discuss the Haggadah campaign, as well as all the other incredible services the JBI Library offers all year round. All too often, people with visual impairments due to eye ailments or aging feel left out of the Seder proceedings because they are unable to read the Haggadah. This year make sure to preempt this problem by ordering large print Haggadahs from the JBI Library by April 15. “JBI International is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the Jewish and general cultural needs of the visually impaired, blind, physically handicapped and reading disabled – of all ages and backgrounds – worldwide. Founded in 1931 as the Jewish Braille Institute of America to help the blind and visually impaired in the United States, JBI now also provides services in Israel, the Former Soviet Union, Eastern and Central Europe, Latin America, Western Europe and all English speaking countries.”
