Nachum hosted Rabbi Yisroel Meir Merkin on this morning’s JM in the AM for a Shalom Torah Centers update and for a last minute Shoot for Shalom basketball tournament update, in anticipation of this Sunday’s event. “Shalom Torah Academy strives to provide an excellent education in both the English and Hebrew curriculum, with warmth, care, and professionalism. Our students are ambitious, and encouraged to reach their potential (and higher!), yet they are not overly-pressured, as in many schools today. Community spirit, love of the Jewish People and Israel, and responsibility and consideration for others are integral parts of a Shalom education.” The Shoot for Shalom tournament, taking place on Sunday, February 8, will feature 32 teams of enthusiastic fundraising players including our very own Nachum Segal with members of the first family of Jewish radio. Shoot for Shalom is a first-of-its kind Basketball tournament that harnesses the power and the passion of competition team sports for Jewish education. Everyone is invited to be part of the very first professionally coached, Jewish basketball tournament and help raise vital funds to secure Jewish continuity.
