Rabbi Benjamin Yudin, spiritual leader of Congregation Shomrei Torah in Fairlawn, New Jersey, called in to JM in the AM to discuss the Torah portion of the week. This week Rabbi Yudin discussed parshas Vayishlach elaborating on Yaakov’s journey back for the pachim kitanim (small vessels) and his ensuing battle with the angel. Rabbi Yudin explained that the words “and Yaakov was left alone…” are a lesson for us that everything we have, both materially and spiritually, both large and small have potential for greatness, and should not be taken for granted.
