Rabbi Benjamin Yudin, spiritual leader of Congregation Shomrei Torah in Fairlawn, New Jersey, called in live from Beit Shemesh, Israel to JM in the AM to discuss the Torah portion of the week. This week Rabbi Yudin discussed parshas Beshalach elaborating on the “splitting of the sea” and the subsequent shirah, “song at the sea.” Rabbi Yudin explained how the Jewish people saw the hand of the Almighty punishing the Egyptians measure for measure for their cruelty, and how it demonstrates His constant attention and care for the Jewish people.
