As the Jewish people, and more specifically the land of Israel, look toward the coming shmittah Year observance, Nachum hosted Rabbi Shia Markowitz on behalf of the National Board of Keren Hashviis (NBKH) to this morning’s JM in the AM, in an effort to help support Israeli farm owners. “The mission of Keren Hashviis is to act as the champions of Mitzvas Shmittah. They strive to ensure that shmittah is upheld by every Jewish landowner in Eretz Yisrael who is a maamin b’Hashem and adheres to His mitzvos.
