Rabbi Aryeh Lightstone is currently the Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of Mekorot Education. Prior to becoming one of the leaders in Jewish education and innovation, Aryeh served as regional director of the NY NCSY for seven years while also serving in a variety of rabbinic roles on Long Island. As a graduate of Yeshiva University and having achieved Rabbinic ordination from RIETS, Aryeh has been deeply involved with education and teens for the past decade. Known primarily for his entrepreneurial spirit, Aryeh is often found outside of the box challenging what was done and innovating what should be done. Aryeh founded Aleph Beta Academy, the JUMP Leadership initiative, Jerusalem Ambassadors as well as Friday Night Lights – all international ongoing successful programs. His strongest asset is his loving family and his inspiration for re-imagining education comes from his talented teacher wife, Estee and the desire that his kids Akiva, Shayna & Simcha (born during Sandy) only get the best. When Aryeh isn’t starting a new venture or hanging out with his family, to everyone’s great dismay he can be found creating divots up and down the golf courses of America.
