With Rosh Hashanah coming up next Wednesday night, the members of the Ashkenazi community begin experiencing the selichot prayers this Saturday night. In preparation of this annual occurrence Nachum welcomed Cantor Benny Rogoznitzky and Charlie Bernhaut to this morning’s JM in the AM to discuss Selichot Night at the Park East Synagogue. Everyone is invited to join Park East Synagogue for another unforgettable evening this Saturday evening for their annual program which will feature a State of World Jewry Address (9:00 PM) by Rabbi Arthur Schneier discussing “United States and Israel Amidst Geopolitical Transition.” Prayer services (10:30 PM) will be lead by Chief Cantor Yitzchak Meir Helfgot (his 9th time leading the services) and will feature Maestro Russell Ger & the Park East Synagogue Choir.
