Nachum welcomed Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, back to JM in the AM this morning for the Weekly Update. Nachum and Malcolm began this week’s live Update with a quick look at the upcoming Conference of Presidents Gala and then went on to discuss various consequences of the government shutdown, including the President’s postponed visit to Asia. Nachum asked Malcolm to address the possibility that President Obama’s short pre-presidential tenure in Washington has affected his ability to build strong bonds for governance.  They covered a number of other timely issues including: Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech at the UN this week,  and much more.

Nachum and Malcolm reminded everyone that the Conference of Presidents 50th Anniversary Tribute Gala is coming up on October 15, 2013, at the Waldorf Astoria.
