Nachum welcomed Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, back to JM in the AM this morning for the Weekly Update. Nachum and Malcolm began this week’s live Update with a look at Israel’s involvement in the rescue & relief efforts in post-typhoon ravaged Philippines. Nachum and Malcolm reminded everyone about the fact that Israel is always at the ready to aid both allies and enemies in times of tragedy and natural disaster. They covered a number of timely issues including:  the current state of the US-Israel relationship vis a vis Mid-East foreign policy, the latest news concerning Iran’s nuclear proliferation,  the United States’ spying on their allies while Jonathan Pollard is still languishing in prison, the stabbing of an Israeli soldier by a terrorist teenager in Israel,  and much more.
