Straight ahead on your Tuesday Morning JM in the AM Sports Update,
The holiday weekend means a sparse number of games, but we’ve got all the results for you from the action that did go down around the league, including another basketball tournament and the division races tighten up in the JV hockey world, good morning, I’m Elliot Weiselberg.
We kick things off with Varsity Basketball where Frisch pulled off a phenomenal comeback 47-40 victory over MTA this past Motzai Shabbos. MTA jumped out to a 30-21 lead at the half before Frisch’s defense clamped down on the Lions holding them to 10 points in the second half and only 2 in the 4th quarter alone. During that stretch, the Cougars outscored the Lions by 16 to roll back and take the 7 point victory. Justin Hod put up a second-straight double-digit night, tallying 14 points. Benni Tuchman dropped 12 for the Cougars as well, adding 4 steals to the effort.
