Nachum hosted Yair Rosenrauch, Chief Programming Officer at Kulanu Academy, on this morning’s JM in the AM to feature Kulanu Ba’aretz, a JNF/Kulanu Academy three month vocational-educational study program in Israel for young men and women with special needs. They discussed how Kulanu Academy came together and how this collaboration with JNF continues their ultimate goal of enabling each individual to reach his or her full potential, empowering each one to become a participating and accepted member of society, with a good quality of life and a hopeful future. Kulanu Ba’aretz is a unique opportunity for an individual with special needs to develop new skills, build self-esteem and independence, make new friends, and grow in a physically and emotionally safe environment. Our students are stimulated socially, emotionally and physically, often in ways they would not have at home while experiencing the spirit and culture of Eretz Yisrael.
