Nachum welcomed Cantor Sherwood Goffin to this morning’s JM in the AM to discuss the Lincoln Square Synagogue and their upcoming Cantorial Concert. Nachum and Cantor Goffin spoke about the Holiday of Chanukah which begins tonight and how we have 8 days of special, joyous prayer coming up. Cantor Goffin reminded everyone that the siddur is not a song book, but a prayer book, therefore people leading the  prayers must know when to interject songs, and when not to. The  Inaugural Jewish Music & Cantorial Concert featuring LSS’s new Chazzan, Yanky Lemmer, alongside LSS Senior Chazzan Shewood Goffin and the Hampton Synagogue’s Netanel Hershtik will be taking place on Motzei Shabbat, December 7th at the Lincoln Square Synagogue.
