Mayer Fertig put the spotlight on Bruriah High School for Girls and their annual student-made Holocaust Museum with Mr. Joel Glazer, renowned history teacher and a group of enthusiastic Bruriah students. Every year, Mr. Glazer appoints student curators and together with the larger group of 11th graders they create the World War II/Holocaust Museum at Bruriah (in Elizabeth, NJ). With a new focus each year, the museum follows the chronology of events before, during, and after the war, and concludes with a section portraying the creation and history of the State of Israel. The Museum is open to visitors, with students serving as the docents and leading tours of each section.
