Nachum welcomed Dr. Faygie Zakheim back to JM in the AM this morning to talk about the important work of the Ha’or Beacon School and to share information about their exciting fundraiser, Culinary for a Cause II coming up on Tuesday in Brooklyn. “Until the establishment of the Ha’or Beacon School, children with social, behavioral, and learning challenges had no yeshiva to attend. Ha’or Beacon’s mission is to integrate students with these challenges into a mainstream yeshiva setting. Today, these very students are thriving in a rich yeshiva environment where their frustration, anger, and despair have been replaced with hope, happiness, and success.
