Nachum interviewed Evan Harris, creator of MoDate, a free and private platform that aims to be the solution for the current Modern Orthodox dating struggle.

MoDate was founded in February 2021 by Evan Harris, who recognized that there was a hole in the Modern Orthodox dating system. Evan, at the age of 24, with the help of a few friends, created the MoDate platform as a free and private solution for the current Modern Orthodox dating struggle.

The MoDate process is simple. Connectors are responsible for recruiting their single friends (MoDaters) to fill out the MoDate questionnaire. The MoDate platform incorporates an alias system which allows users to remain anonymous. MoDate has a proprietary algorithm which creates matches. Once matches are made Connectors must speak with each other to reveal the identities of their MoDaters and decide whether or not to set their friends up.

With the motto of “Pump the Volume”, MoDate aims to reach all corners of the Modern Orthodox dating world in the United States and Israel. MoDate has been expanding rapidly, with over 750+ MoDaters signed up to date.
