Nachum welcomed Joseph Mandlebaum, Chairman of the Board for Israel’s Nevet organization on this morning’s JM in the AM to discuss their important work of feeding school children in Israel.(www.nevet.org/en/)
From the Nevet website: “Nevet was founded by the non-profit organization Leket Israel in 2006 and became an independent non-profit charitable organization in 2016, supported by private donors. It does not receive any government funding.
Nevet provides nutritious daily school meals for Israeli children from disadvantaged backgrounds and dysfunctional homes. Nevet distributes some 1.3 million breakfasts every year to 8,000 students daily at 130 schools across 46 Israeli municipalities during the morning break.
The sandwiches fortify these students to concentrate on their studies and move towards a better future. They create a nutritional anchor and a consistent routine for the children every school day.”
