Nachum welcomed Rabbi Yisroel Meir Merkin, Director of Organizational Advancement for the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society (RCCS), to this morning’s JM in the AM to get an RCCS update and to preview the RCCS Spring Classic coming up on April 14. From the RCCS website: “Since its inception in 1997, RCCS has played a critical role, providing hope and relief for cancer patients, support for their families and the means to survive. RCCS stands by each individual throughout every step of the process, holding their hands along the way to help them fight and win the war against cancer. The mission of RCCS is to tackle cancer challenges, ease medical treatment, cover insurance premiums to lighten the financial burden and make cancer care more accessible. Every single dollar that RCCS gives out to patients is approved by its board of volunteers, ensuring tremendous oversight and responsibility. The RCCS Spring Classic is the first of its kind Ice Hockey tournament that utilizes the passion for Ice Hockey as a vehicle to help make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.”
