Rabbi Benjamin Yudin, spiritual leader of Congregation Shomrei Torah in Fairlawn, New Jersey, called in to this morning’s JM in the AM to deliver his weekly Torah address. Rabbi Yudin discussed Parshas Emor, as well as our counting the Omer, in anticipation of Lag BaOmer (33rd day in the counting of the Omer) coming up on Saturday night. Rabbi Yudin elaborated on the tragic loss of Rabbi Akiva’s 24,000 students and how Rabbi Akiva worked to rebuild the legacy and proliferation of Torah.
