Nachum welcomed Rabbi Dr. David Hertzberg, Principal of the Yeshivah of Flatbush Middle Division and host of NSN’s “Israel @ 75” program (Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m. ET), to this morning’s JM in the AM to preview the upcoming tour of the Golan Heights in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War.

Wednesday, August 2, 2023 – in Israel: The William S. Levine Family Shoah Institute has organized a very special opportunity for YOF students and parents (high school age and older) and for Yeshivah educators who will be in Israel during the first week of August. In anticipation of the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War we have arranged a tour of the Golan Heights – Emek Habacha (Valley of Tears) battlefield led by the hero of the Israeli army who commanded the battle, General Avigdor Kahalani. This is a very unique opportunity to learn about the war that changed the Middle East from one of its most famous soldiers.
