Nachum hosted Major League pitcher, Nelson Figueroa on this morning’s JM in the AM to discuss his upcoming Annual Charity Bowl that will benefit the amazing work of Chai Lifeline. “Calling all METS fans! This coming Monday, January 16, enjoy an evening of bowling and mingling with former Mets pitcher and current SNY analyst Nelson Figueroa and guests to help raise funds for Chai Lifeline (ChaiLifeline.org). Hors d’oeuvres will be served on a first-come-first-serve basis. There will be a cash bar available as well. Pictures and requests for autographs are permitted at the event.”
“Chai Lifeline is an international support network for families battling childhood illness. What started out as a small summer camp for children with cancer has become a huge organization that provides emotional, social and financial support to these children and their families. Chai Lifeline offers year-round programming and the staff and volunteers never stop helping. One of the most spectacular aspects of the organization is Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special, where kids can go to a sleep away camp, which is essentially a hospital in disguise. Kids can get their treatments and feel like kids again, while parents get a much-needed break.” Visit the Charity Bowl website HERE. Check out the great auctions HERE.
