Nachum welcomed Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, back to JM in the AM this morning for the Weekly Update. Nachum and Malcolm began this week’s live Update with a brief look at this week’s elections in NY/NJ and with a discussion about members of the Jewish community running for public office.  They covered a number of timely issues including: US Secretary of State John Kerry’s statements regarding the current state of Israeli-Palestinian relations, whether or not the United States “has their allies’ back,” the recent revelation that Yassir Arafat may have been poisoned, and who might be responsible,  the ever evolving manner of dealing with Iran, the court decision in the Avigdor Lieberman case, and much more.
