Nachum hosted Michael Miller of the JCRC to discuss this year’s Celebrate Israel Parade which takes place this Sunday, June 2nd, from 11AM to 4PM. Nachum and Michael began with a brief discussion of the Israeli national soccer team returning to New York on Sunday, after a 35 year absence, for an exhibition game against Honduras. The game will be taking place at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets baseball team, and everyone is encouraged to attend with their Israeli flags & paraphernalia. Another related event is the Celebrate Israel Run that will take place on Sunday morning, which at press time had over 5,000 registered runners. The Theme for the 2013 Celebrate Israel Parade is Picture Israel; The Art & the Craft.Participants will bring to Fifth Avenue illustrations, paintings, collages, tapestries to show the diversity of Israel and its people, the land/sea/city-scapes, accomplishments, etc.  Nachum and Michael encourage everyone to spread the word and come out to enjoy the full day of festivities with family and friends in support of our Homeland.
