Nachum welcomed Marc Rosenberg, Director of the Pre-Aliyah Department at Nefesh B’Nefesh to this morning’s JM in the AM to discuss Aliyah and focus on today’s observance of Yom Ha’Aliyah. Officially declared a national holiday by the Knesset in 2016, Yom Ha’Aliyah celebrates Aliyah, immigration to the Jewish state, as a core value of the State of Israel, and honor the ongoing contributions of Olim to Israeli society. They discussed the origin of the day and why we celebrate it today.
