Celebrating 75 years of serving the Jewish community, Nachum welcomed Miriam Frankel, Deputy Executive Director of Reuth and Morgan Kronenberg, Executive Director of the American Friends of Reuth to this morning’s JM in the AM to discuss the organization and their recent anniversary celebration. Reuth – originally named Women’s Social Service – is one of the first and largest non-profit organizations in Israel. It was founded in 1937, on the seashore of Tel Aviv, by a group of women, immigrants from Germany, under the leadership of Mrs. Paula Barth. The aim of the newly established organization was to assist new immigrants who were hard put to find a sufficient livelihood in their new land. As time has passed, the services and support Reuth provides has grown exponentially.
