Fans of great, eclectic Jewish music are in for a treat this Wednesday, August 7th when Jersey Shore Jewish Music presents its first concert “One People Many Voices: Celebrating a World of Jewish Music” at Monmouth University’s Pollak Theatre in Long Branch, New Jersey. Nachum welcomed Jeffrey DiLucca, concert coordinator to this morning’s JM in the AM to get all the details. The Honoree of the evening is Moshe “Moe” Tawil, instructor and lecturer on Sephardic Liturgical music at New York University, Hofstra, and Yeshiva University. Moe Tawil continues to guide many of the Hazzanim in the Syrian community. For over 75 years, he has been a key leader in every phase of community life from education to prayers to preserving the traditional way of life for his community.
