Nachum welcomed Yossi Baumol, Director of Development & PR at Makor Chaim Institutions, to this morning’s JM in the AM to discuss their new campus and their Charidy fundraiser going on now.
From the Makor Chaim Charidy page:
Giving you Heart & Soul!
38 years ago, in hope of establishing a unique, creative and evolving House of Study, we established “Makor Chaim” a shining “source of life”, originally in the holy city of Jerusalem. Ever since then, Makor Chaim has been a magnet for all those who wish to connect to our unique brand of modern Israeli Chassidut, a movement founded first and foremost, on a special group of people who are joined together in their thirst for inspiration. The concrete educational methods developed by our founder, Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz זצ”ל together with Rav Dov Singer יבל”א are now inspiring and training educators throughout the world.
Out of necessity and out of a yearning for the green open spaces of Gush Etzion, Yeshivat Makor Chaim moved to Kfar Etzion over 20 years ago, to “temporary” facilities, without ever finding suitable permanent quarters. It was only during the search for our kidnapped students in 2014, visiting Israeli leaders finally understood our urgent need for a new home.
For eight long years we have dedicated ourselves to the construction of a beautiful new campus – practically an entire neighborhood! In the spirit of accepting the “yoke of the kingdom of heaven from one another”, we turn to you and personally ask for your help so that this summer, we can finally come home this unique place on the ancient “Derech Ha’Avot outside of Neve Daniel.
Let’s Light the Place UP!
