Nachum welcomed Jonathan Greenblatt, National Director and CEO of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) to this morning’s JM in the AM to discuss a number of important issues including the important new book, written by award winning photographer Rick Smolan, entitled “The Good Fight: America’s Ongoing Struggle for Justice.” From the ADL website: “The ADL stands up and speaks out. They are on the front lines to stop anti-Semitism and to bring justice and fair treatment to all. They’re working to build a more inclusive world. And we never give up.”
After serving in a senior role in the Obama Administration, Jonathan Greenblatt became the Director of the Anti-Defamation League two years ago. In this position, he has spoken about refugee rights, reproductive and equal pay rights for women, the NFL players taking the knee, the DREAM Act, stopping cyber bullying, and, more and more frequently, reminded those listening that anti-Semitism is at the heart of white supremacy (as evidenced most recently at the Charlottesville Unite the Right rally). ADL tracks white supremacist, neo-Nazi and other extremist groups through its Center on Extremism.
